A crane collapsed at a Queens construction site Tuesday and killed two construction workers, officials said.
The workers were on a jobsite at 81-10 134th St. in Briarwood when the crane collapsed at 12:11 p.m.
Initial reports indicated a beam might have fallen on the crane — causing it to collapse on the victims, according to the FDNY.
No information about their identities was immediately available, an FDNY spokesman said.
Witnesses reported that a falling beam struck either the building or the crane directly, the spokesman said.
The FDNY said it appeared the victims were both workers at the construction site.
