A gaggle of network executives and reporters filed into Trump Tower Monday to meet with the President-elect — who called them “liars” who “got it all wrong,” sources said.
Trump, who frequently railed against the mainstream media on the campaign trail for being “so dishonest,” kept the rendezvous off the record, meaning participants couldn’t report on what was said during the Midtown meeting.
A source with knowledge of the gathering said Trump singled out CNN boss Jeff Zucker — telling him, “I don’t like your network.”
Zucker, who launched Trump’s reality TV career with “The Apprentice” at NBC, didn’t react — even when Trump said the network lied in its coverage.

The media in general “got it wrong,” and were “liars,” he also told the room, sources said.

The frank talk was shared by both sides, with media execs pressing Trump on granting reporters access and holding regular press briefings.
Trump has not held a news conference since his election two weeks ago. Most Presidents-elect hold one within days of being elected. He will speak with reporters from The New York Times on Tuesday.
“There will be a small, off the record meeting first, followed by an on the record session with Times reporters and editorial columnists,” Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. said in a statement.

Among those in attendance were NBC anchor Lester Holt and “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd, ABC “Good Morning America” host George Stephanopoulos and anchor David Muir, CBS “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and several executives at the networks.
Trump operatives shot down a report that the President-elect unleashed a tirade of profanity at the assembled media.
“The quotes attributed to the President-elect are simply inaccurate. We had a friendly and spirited conversation, but I’m sorry to report that was all,” said Trump spokesman Jason Miller.
