Big Blue kicks off a big week for technology earnings, with several companies including IBM, Google and Microsoft slated to report quarterly earnings after the markets close.
Let’s take a look at tech stocks to watch Monday:
IBM. Ahead of the company’s third quarter results, Re/code reports the tech giant is in talks with the owner of The Weather Channel to acquire its digital assets. A deal could get done in the coming months, says the report.
Yahoo. It appears the tech company is enduring a shakeup among some top executives. Bloomberg reports Jacqueline Reses is leaving her role as Yahoo’s chief development officer to join payments service Square. Meanwhile, Re/code reports Yahoo’s senior vice president of marketing partnerships, Lisa Licht, is also departing the company. Yahoo reports third quarter earnings Tuesday.
Apple. The tech giant must pay more than $234 million to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for using its microchip tech in mobile devices without permission. According to Reuters, Apple says it will appeal the jury verdict.
Alphabet. The tech giant and parent company of Google reports third quarter earnings after the markets close Thursday. Analysts project revenue of $18.54 billion with earnings of $7.21 a share.
Microsoft. Fresh off revealing several devices including its first laptop, Microsoft reports first quarter earnings after the bell Thursday. Microsoft is expected to report earnings of 59 cents a share off $21 billion in revenue.
