Phoebe Dahl (l.) and Ruby Rose (r.) arrive ahead of the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Nov. 10 in Sydney, Australia.
The bloom is off the Rose.
“Orange Is the New Black” star Ruby Rose and clothing designer Phoebe Dahl have broken off their engagement, a source close to the couple confirmed to the Daily News.
Rose, an Australian DJ-turned-actress who debuted as inmate Stella Carlin on the hit Netflix series’ third season, and the Faircloth & Supply founder, who is beloved author Roald Dahl’s granddaughter, broke silence on their amicable split in perhaps the most millennial way possible: by tweeting about it.
“@RubyRose you have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us,” wrote 27-year-old Dahl on Monday night.
“@FAIRCLOTHSUPPLY remains very dear to my heart. I will forever treasure our time together. I’m a better person because of all we shared,” Rose, 29, tweeted one minute later.

Despite their clear mutual admiration, Rose and Dahl’s well-documented two-year relationship suffered from constant travel, according to multiple reports.
“Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other,” Dahl told Us Weekly in a statement. “Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time.”
The pair got engaged in March 2014 after three months of dating and three unsuccessful proposals from Rose, the actress revealed on Instagram. The fourth ask, initiated by Dahl, finally did the trick.
“After asking her to be mine 3 times always to be rejected I swore I’d never ask again… then this morning at 6 am she broke into my house with flowers, coffee and a question… and I said.. go f— yourself,” wrote the Justin Bieber lookalike. “Just kidding I said…”
