Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer of “Stone Temple Pilots” and “Velvet Revolver,” has died at the age of 48. His death was reported on the singer’s Facebook page early on Dec. 4, 2015. The singer had been scheduled to perform in the US state of Minnesota with his new band, Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts, when he was found dead in the group’s tour bus, ABC News reported. The Grammy-award-winning star had been battling a career-long addiction to durgs and alcohol. He leaves behind his wife, photographer Jamie Wachtel Weiland and a son and daughter from his second marriage, who are just 13 and 15 years of age.
