Foxwoods Casino on lockdown after officer-involved shooting

Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut went into lockdown after an officer-involved shooting on the property.

Connecticut State Police confirmed to the Daily News that they were investigating the shooting along with tribal police in Mashantucket and that at least one officer was involved.

Officials in the city told WWLP that the shots were fired on the fifth floor of the parking garage for the Fox Tower hotel.

Those at the casino posted on social media they were not allowed to leave and heard ambulances.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was wounded in the shooting.

Connecticut State Police say that there is no active shooter and no threat to public safety.
