Hip-hop star Coolio assured fans he was doing “fine” following his arrest at a Los Angeles airport Saturday.

The rapper offered the update in a video published to YouTube hours after he and a bodyguard were taken into custody after a stolen loaded gun was discovered in one of their bags.

“I don’t know what’s going to be the result of this in the future but for now I’m fine and I appreciate everybody’s concerns,” the rapper said from a booth at P.F. Chang’s after being released on bail.

The “Gangsta’s Paradise” artist also called the incident a “misunderstanding.”

Coolio busted after TSA found stolen gun in his bag at LAX

Coolio, 53, was removed from his plane at the Los Angeles International Airport at around 11 a.m. by law enforcement officials after someone reported the banned item at a TSA screening.

The bodyguard contended he was the bag’s owner, though sources told TMZ that Coolio later admitted the bag belonged to him.

“Further investigation revealed that the bag contained items belonging to one of the suspect’s traveling companions who left the screening area and boarded an aircraft for departure,” airport police officer Alicia Hernandez said, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

Both Coolio, real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr., and the bodyguard were then booked on charges of possessing a stolen gun, according to authorities.

Coolio also confirmed in his video that he intended to carry on with his previously scheduled performance in Indio, Calif., on Sunday.

It’s not the first time the rapper has found himself in trouble at the Los Angeles airport. He was also arrested there in 2009 after drugs were allegedly discovered by TSA agents inside of his bag.
