Yo — Susan!
“The Brooklyn Rocky” may have found his Adrian in Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon.
Boxing star Frank Galarza has hooked the “Dead Man Walking” actress, and was spotted by multiple sources walking arm in arm with her at Barclays Center on Saturday night, where we’re told “Sarandon was all over the 30-year-old boxer (Galarza) in the tunnel after the Danny Jacobs fight.”
A second fight fan says Sarandon, 69, arrived with fellow actor Danny DeVito, but was walked backstage by security with the junior middleweight, where the two consoled Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin after his shocking first-round loss to Jacobs.
We’re also told that Sarandon and Galarza looked “very cozy together,” and this isn’t the first time the May-December pair have enjoyed a fight night with one another.
“This is at least the second time she’s been to a fight with Frank at Barclays,” says a source with very good seats. “I don’t know if they’re dating, but they’re definitely… there’s something going on there.”
But a rep for Sarandon counters that the Oscar-winner and the boxer are just pals, saying: “Susan and Frank have been close friends for a while and work together on Youth Fighting Forward, Frank’s boxing program for underserved youth.”
Galarza also contacted us to say that the two are “absolutely not” dating and that “We are really good friends” teaming-up on the fighter’s youth program.
Galarza became known as the Brooklyn Rocky after winning the Golden Gloves tournament in 2010 at 25. He accomplished that feat despite having lost his father to gun violence at the age of 7, then losing his mom, a drug addict, at age 9.
Sarandon, an ageless knockout with a penchant for younger men, famously dated her “Bull Durham” co-star Tim Robbins for 23 years, despite their 12-year age difference. Shortly after they split in 2009, she began seeing her Spin ping-pong lounge business partner Jonathan Bricklin, who is 31 years her junior. Last year, Sarandon told Hello! magazine, “When you are in love, the question of age, sex, color no longer hold any importance.”
Galarza had been undefeated before suffering his first loss in 20 fights on Nov. 14 in Las Vegas. On Monday, Sarandon released a second batch of sexy T-shirts bearing her image to help finance the film “Deep Run,” which she produced.
