Jennifer Lopeztells Ocean Drive magazine her new residency in Las Vegas will bring out Jenny from the Block. “I want it to be a high-energy, Bronx kind of block party,” said J.Lo, who performed at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.
“I want people to really let loose.” Lopez says getting her mom to visit her in Vegas shouldn’t be hard. “Even if she weren’t (a fan of gambling), she would still come and see me,” Lopez said.
APATOW’S DISARMING EFFORT
Judd Apatowis stepping up his support for gun violence prevention. The “Trainwreck” director is working with Crowdrise for a campaign that benefits Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention organization. Apatow is giving away five pairs of tickets to his sold-out show at Carnegie Hall on Nov. 14, and a grand prize winner will win two round-trip tickets to New York and two tickets to the Carnegie Hall show. He’ll also give a separate grand prize winner the opportunity to shadow him on the set of his new HBO show, “Crashing.”
Meryl Streep will receive an award at the BAFTA’s British Academy Britannia Awards.
J.J. Abrams, Bryan Cranston, Robert Downey Jr., Stephen Frears, Saoirse Ronan and Seth MacFarlane will all present awards at BAFTA’s British Academy Britannia Awards in Los Angeles presented by American Airlines. British actor and comedian Jack Whitehall will host the show, and Harrison Ford, Orlando Bloom, Meryl Streep, Sam Mendes, and James Corden will receive awards. The ceremony will take place Oct. 30 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and air on Pop on Nov. 6.

THE CLOONEY FAMILY IS GROWING
The luckiest dog on four legs was just adopted by super couple George and Amal Clooney. The pair brought this 4-year-old basset hound named Millie home from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society on Wednesday. Millie was homeless before the shelter took her in just a few weeks ago. “Today her luck changed for the better when she was adopted by George and Amal Clooney,” the shelter wrote on its website. That’s an understatement.

Latin superstar Thalia Sodi celebrated her holiday clothing and accessories collection for Macy’s with a recent rooftop soiree at the Hotel Americano — but not before she practically blew up Periscope. Tommy Mottola’s wife joined forces with her stylist, Irma Martinez, to give fans of Thalia around the globe a glimpse at her goods. Viewers quickly poured in from Greece, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala and many other nations. The broadcast was Macy’s most successful Periscope to date.
LOHAN GETS CATTY
Long time, no see Lindsay. Finicky actress Lindsay Lohan gets into the Halloween spirit at London’s Cuckoo Club for the hotspot’s Asylum Party. Lohan’s costume consisted of a lace bodysuit, a leather cape, a cat mask and a trickle of fake blood running down her chin. The 29-year-old former star accessorized her costume with an engagement ring, though as far as we know, Lilo is still a frisky cat lady.

KIERNAN ROCKS THE NEWSROOM
NY1 anchorman Pat Kiernan will trade his suit and tie for heavy metal garb when he rocks live coverage of the Village Halloween Parade. And he won’t be going solo. Fellow NY1 anchors Roger Clark, Jamie Stelter, and Stephanie Simon will join Kiernan by dressing the part of rock stars for Saturday’s broadcast, which rocks from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The costumes will be modeled after characters from the “School of Rock” musical.
JUSTIN NAILS IT
And this was the interview he wasn’t mad about. A few hours after storming out of an awkward interview in Spain for no particular reason, Justin Bieber was back on TV seeming to have his hand nailed to a board (above) in a prank for wacky chat show, “El Hormiguero.” On the same show, the singer helped fans put tattoos on a giant naked cardboard cutout of himself and smashed a magician’s arm out of a brick box.
