Actress Jennifer Lawrence attends the “Joy” New York premiere at Ziegfeld Theater on December 13, 2015.
Jennifer Lawrence hasn’t mopped her own floors since the first installment of “The Hunger Games” premiered, she reveals to [email protected]
Lawrence, who plays Miracle Mop inventor Joy Mangano in “Joy,” calls her a “daring, inspiring woman,” but that doesn’t mean she’s using her invention.
“Oh, probably (haven’t mopped my floors) since the first ‘Hunger Games’ came out,” Lawrence said.
But the Oscar-winner (photo inset) did connect with Mangano’s drive, she says, and fought the same way to become an actress.
“I think (I connected) with the fight and the struggle and the fire,” she said. “I remember that feeling of knowing, you know saying, ‘I want to be an actor!’ — and everyone saying, ‘OK!’ I have an invention, an idea but knowing, knowing that I could do it and knowing that I wasn’t going to stop and having that fight.”
Also at the premiere was Susan Lucci, who told us she hasn’t been mopping lately, either.
“I really did do all my own work for the first 10 years of my marriage because I had a drama teacher who told us we should always stay very grounded even if we made it,” the soap star said, adding that she no longer does her own housework.
“Been there, done that,” she said.

STUMPED BY TRUMP GAME
File this one under hasn’t-read-the-news-in-six-months. On Monday, a marketing campaign promoting the online real estate game “Landlord Real Estate Tycoon” went out asking gamers, “Do you have what it takes to be the next Donald Trump?” Obviously, real estate deals aren’t what’s keeping the The Donald in the news these days. We’re guessing the object of the game is to build as many walls as possible before offending every race on earth.
CHUCK AND DI STILL TAKE THE CAKE
A piece of cake from Prince Charles and Lady Diana’s 1981 wedding is being auctioned by Nate D. Saunders Auction in Los Angeles and the starting price will be $ 1,100. The slice, said to be from a 120-person breakfast reception for the pair, is “wrapped in original wax paper and doily.”
THE OTHER ‘HAMILTON’
While celebrity sightings are an everyday occurrence at “Hamilton” on Broadway, former Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser packed in the A-listers this weekend with a solo performance at Baby’s Alright in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper, Emily Mortimer and her husband Alessandro Nivola all dropped in to see the show. “Scarlett was almost unrecognizable with her short haircut and thick-rimmed glasses, while Bradley was easier to spot in a white T-shirt and jeans,” a concertgoer told us.

LEIA IT ON US
Carrie Fisher and Ellen DeGeneres (left to right) donned Princess Leia hairdos to scalp “The Force Awakens” movie tickets on the streets of L.A. A couple of passers-by made offers and one fan even “sang” the instrumental “Star Wars” theme song with Fisher. At least one fan didn’t recognize Fisher, who first played Leia in 1977. “What I look like now is not my fault,” she explained to DeGeneres. “Medication did it. Years of living longer makes you look worse. Who knew about that? It’s really upsetting.”
Keira Knightley and James Righton with daughter Edie Righton are seen in Tribeca on December 14, 2015 in New York City.
HI-HO SILVERMAN, AWAY!
Simon Cowell clutches a beer while girlfriend Lauren Silverman holds up a peace sign while leaving “The X Factor” finale in London. The big night was meant to showcase amateur performers hoping to make the big time, though highlights from the broadcast included performances by Adele, Coldplay and One Direction. Alas, not even those show-stopping numbers could stop “The X Factor” from reportedly receiving its lowest ratings yet for a finals competition.
KNIGHTLEY’S DAILY PLEASURES
“Everest” actress Keira Knightley and her musician hubby James Righton take their 7-month old daughter Edie for a walk through Tribeca over the weekend. Knightley, who’s won both an Oscar and a Golden Globe award, can currently be seen in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s presentation of “Therese Raquin” at Studio 54.

JENNA: I STILL DREAM OF JIM
Jenna Fischer has moved on since starring in “The Office,” but does have a happy ending for the show’s favorite couple, Jim and Pam. “Well, I hope Jim and Pam are just happily raising their kids in Philly and Jim’s enjoying his new job,” the actress tells Good Housekeeping for its January issue. “I like to imagine that Pam’s mural painting business really took off and she’s doing baby nurseries and libraries and all kinds of cool art.”

FOX IN THE JET SET
Michael J. Fox brought his son Sam to Sunday’s Jets game, and the duo were guests of the team owner Woody Johnson and wife Suzanne. We hear Fox ordered hot dogs and passed on the fancy food in the box, then was happy to greet a few Santa-esque cheerleaders.
NEWLYWEDS JOINED AT ‘HIP’
There was a rare sighting of newlywed Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen at a hipster holiday party in Williamsburg on Sunday. The pair, who seem to have been flying under the radar since their September wedding, showed up for the bash thrown by two staff writers for “Saturday Night Live” at The Grand Bar and Grill. We’re told the “Girls” star and her husband weren’t joined at the hip and chatted with pals, including “SNL” cast members Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon, separately.
