A rescue dog named Millie is getting a movie-script ending thanks to her famous new parents.
George Clooney and his human-rights lawyer bride, Amal Clooney, recently adopted the adorable 4-year-old basset hound mix, the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society triumphantly announced Wednesday.
The Hollywood duo found the pooch — who boasts “gorgeous looks that would land her on any Hush Puppies commercial” — on the pet adoption site Petfinder, according to the animal shelter.
The Clooneys reportedly brought their cocker spaniel, Louie, to meet the long-eared Millie. After the two pups hit it off, the happy family departed with its new addition in tow.
A stray Millie was found scrounging up scraps outside a San Gabriel, Calif., eatery earlier this month, according the nonprofit organization.
The Clooney family’s newest member gives off Hollywood vibes.
Clooney previously rescued cocker spaniels Einstein (r.) and Louie.
The 54-year-old “Tomorrowland” star, who swooped in to save Louie and his other cocker spaniel, Einstein, clearly has a soft spot for rescue dogs.
Clooney wanted to adopt Einstein so badly, in fact, that he slathered his shoes in meatballs to lure him over and assuage the shelter’s doubts that the dog would take to him, he told Esquire in 2011.
“(The woman) says, ‘I’ve never seen him react like that, ever!’ And she left him with me on the spot,” the actor recalled.
“And forever, now, he just thinks of me as the guy with meatball feet. He loves me. I can do no wrong. He follows me everywhere.”
