Someday your prince may come — but now it’s much easier to find him, thanks to a new Disney dating site.
MouseMingle.com sets up Mickey and Minnie maniacs with online profiles where they can seek out like-minded singles based on their favorite Disney songs and characters.
The site is a “place to connect people who love Disney and who want the same magic in their relationship” — but without having to shlep to a pricey theme park to hit on other people wild about Walt.
Creator Dave Tavres, a Disney devotee himself, dreamed up the Magic Kingdom Match.com after a 2011 trip to Disneyland.
“I had tried [other dating sites], but there was no way to narrow down the searches to find women in the right distance and age range who loved Disney,” he told Mashable.
The Mouse-obsessed can log on to view profiles, exchange private messages and chat with other singles about what kind of pet person he or she is (a “Cheshire Cat” feline-lover or a “Pluto” dog person?).
The price is $ 12.55 a month — the “55” is a nod to 1955, the opening year of the original Disneyland theme park.
It’s no surprise that the Disney world is also a dating community: The theme parks have been one of the top honeymoon destinations for decades.
MouseMingle.com isn’t the only niche dating site, of course. There’s a web site for every fetish, such as the more familiar religious portals ChristianMingle, MuslimMingle and J-Date, as well as nerd havens such as Whovian Love for “Doctor Who” fans, and TrekPassions for “Star Trek” fans who want to “Love long and prosper.”
