It wouldn’t be another year in Hollywood if the claws weren’t out for some celebrities.
The entertainment world was full of noted feuds in 2015, from cat fights to boy brawls, and some Kardashian drama sprinkled throughout .
And, many started with a tweet — as most modern showdowns do.
Here are eight of the most memorable celebrity fights this past year:
8. Zendaya vs. Giuliana Rancic
It was a tough year for Giuliana Rancic.
Celebrities and fans stood by pop singer Zendaya after Rancic attacked the Disney youngster on “Fashion Police.”
The E! star famously said Zendaya’s dreadlocks at the Oscars reeked of weed or patchouli oil.
The 18-year-old turned to Instagram and delivered a lengthy statement on racism in return.
Rancic’s mea culpa then set of a string of events at the E! channel, which included the departure of vocal fashion co-hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin.
Zendaya eventually accepted Rancic’s apology but the E! host has since seen less time on TV .
7. Zayn Malik vs. One Direction
The world may have been distraught when hearthrob Zayn Malik left One Direction, but he was clearly over his boy band.
Former bandmate Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to express his disappointment when Malik quickly jump-started his solo career.
Tomlinson and producer Naughty Boy, who was working with Malik, went at in a series of tweets, insulting each others talents.
The outburst finally ended when Malik told Tomlinson to get a life, crushing hearts across the internet as the band reportedly said Malik was “dead” to them.
6. Kylie Jenner vs. Blac Chyna
Tyga’s current girlfriend and his ex-fiance have been at each other’s throat all year, trading shots on social media.

Things get more interesting as Blac Chyna was once Kim Kardashian’s BFF.
The friendship quickly went sour when Tyga dumped Chyna, his son’s mother, for the younger Jenner (then underage) in 2014.
Since then, Chyna has mocked Jenner’s lips and posted photos and messages between her and her former flame.
Jenner, in return, has thrown shade on Instagram and let her family members do the rest of her fighting.
5. Kanye West vs. Amber Rose (vs. Khloe Kardashian)
This heated exchange involved another ex-girlfriend going against the Kardashians.
Kanye West’s ex Amber Rose blasted Tyga’s relationship with Kylie Jenner, sending big sister Khloe Kardashian to the rescue.
The two duked it out on Twitter, with Khloe calling out Rose’s former stripping career.
Even West got dragged into the mess.
“It’s very hard for a woman to wanna be with someone that’s with Amber Rose,” West said.
“I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim.”
4. Drake vs. Meek Mill
Male celebrities also joined in on the verbal sparring this year.
Rapper Meek Mill called out the “Hotling Bling” singer in July, accusing him of ghostwriting his work.
Mill fired off several more offensive tweets and Drake responded with two diss tracks, the second striking a nerve like “Ether” famously did when Nas went up against Jay-Z.
“Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?” he rapped in “Back to Back”, referencing Mill being the opening act for his girlfriend Nicki Minaj.
If Twitter is any indicator, Drake won this one.
3. Taylor Swift vs. Nicki Minaj
This year’s Video Music Awards was a hotbed for celebrity tuffles — long before the curtains even opened on the show.
Sparks flew on Twitter when the “Anaconda” singer blasted the show over their announced nominations.
“If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” Minaj wrote.
It quickly drew blood from Taylor Swift, whose defensive tweet stirred up fans. Many attacked the singer for making an argument on unsung black entertainers about herself.
Swift has since said she regrets her online snafu.
2. Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift
These two former friends have subtly been going at it since 2008.
However, their feud exploded this year when rumors swirled that “Bad Blood” was taking a musical shot at Perry.
Swift hasn’t officially confirmed the feisty anthem targets Perry, but she did tell Rolling Stone magazine it’s about another female artist.
In return, Perry chimed in on Swift’s Twitter battle against Minaj, with an almost incoherent tweet that blasted Swift .
1. Miley Cyrus vs. Nicki Minaj
The internet remembered one thing from this years VMA’s: “Miley, what’s good?”
While accepting her Moonman trophy, Minaj confronted host Miley Cyrus over comments the “Wrecking Ball” singer told the press earlier.
“What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind,” Cyrus had told the New York Times.
Minaj’s now infamous defense: “Back to this b—- that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?”
The jury is still out on whether the public spat was staged.
